Sekisui Chemical Corp. (Tokyo, Japan) is the leading producer of physically cross-linked polyolefin foams. Its European subsidiary Sekisui Alveo had deciced to expand its product portfolio with non-cross-linked polyolefin foams (NXPOs). When NXPO-producer Polymer-Tec GmbH (Bad Sobernheim, Germany) entered a sales process, we critically reviewed the strategic rationale, valuated the synergy potentials and led all stages of the transaction process, including coordination of all other consultants involved.
