Spirig Pharma AG’s  generic drugs /OTC drugs unit is the third-largest supplier of off-patent drugs in Switzerland. We performed a strategic analysis based on which the management of Spirig Pharma decided to focus on its innovative dermatology and suns-screen business and to sell the generic drugs/OTC unit to a strong international generic provider. We led the spin-off of the business in a sister company „Spirig Healthcare AG“ and performed a controlled auction which resulted in the sale to STADA Arzneimittel AG, a leading European Pharma company.
